OUR SAFETY POLICY

COVID-19

We know these are unprecedented times, and with COVID-19 still spreading, Sympatico is committed to helping to flatten the curve and stopping the spread of the virus. Because we are travelling for work, we need to be extra cautious when going to another community. Our checklist will go over everything you need to know to stay safe during, and between assignments.

Before every assignment we ask that each employee fills out a COVID-19 Health Check form. If you become sick while on assignment, we follow the provincial and facility guidelines. Your instructions will be given to you as part of your assignment package before you head out.

OUR SAFETY POLICY

We Are 100% Committed to Cultural Safety for Indigenous People in Health Care

We are proud to announce that we have Indigenous ownership and support Indigenous communities in Canada. We recognize the need for healthcare professionals alike, but also understand that cultural sensitivity, humility, safety, and competency are essential for building strong relationships with Indigenous peoples from all Nations within Canada. We are excited to have a team of both Indigenous and non-Indigenous healthcare professionals on our team. As an Indigenous owned and operated healthcare staffing agency, we will strive to change the face of healthcare for Indigenous peoples and help to support communities through disease prevention, health promotion, mental health support, educational services, symptom and treatment management, end of life care, as well as COVID-19 relief and ongoing vaccination support.

We encourage all of our employees to partake in an accredited Indigenous Cultural Safety Training Program.
